BAMFEST: A Comedy Show Inspired by Maria Bamford
Maria Bamford is your favorite comedian’s favorite comedian. Between her insane character work, vulnerable honesty about mental illness, and her adoration for pugs, there’s plenty to love about the fearless comic. Comedian and storyteller Ash Allen, a Maria Bamford evangelist, will host this tribute show for the comedian, featuring a lineup of converts to the Bamford doctrine, including Arlo Weierhauser, Virginia Jones, and a long list of other local favorites. Diet Coke—Bamford’s beverage of choice—and doughnuts will be served free of charge as part of the celebration, which takes place a day after the Lady Dynamite actress’ birthday. BRI BREY
